The Miami Heat defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday at Target Center, using a strong fourth quarter to eventually put it away, 97-81.
The Heat led after one quarter, 22-16. The two teams battled it out in the second and third quarters before Miami outscored Minnesota 28-18 in the final 12 minutes. The Heat were able to overcome 23 turnovers by shooting 51 percent from the floor and out-rebounding the Timberwolves, 48-39. Minnesota scored 18 turnovers of its own and shot 38 percent from the floor.
Things got a little physical in the fourth quarter when T'Wolves guard JJ Barea shoved Ray Allen to the ground, but the Heat responded by shutting the door and closing out the game.
The Heat's current 15 game winning streak is a franchise record and they'll look to keep it going against the Orlando Magic Wednesday night.
